Operating Room RN Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), typically Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday
• Pay: $2,047.68 per week
• Shift calloff: Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken into smaller increments totaling 1 shift

Clinical Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate surgical procedures across all surgical specialties
• Support trauma, transplant, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotic surgical cases
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units and sister facilities as required

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• BLS certification
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Parking permit available at designated garage; $20 registration fee

MUSC Health Charleston offers a Level 1 trauma center environment with exposure to diverse surgical specialties and patient acuity levels. You will work alongside experienced OR teams in a teaching hospital setting.
