CT Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest — UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. You will work 3 days per week on rotating 12-hour shifts, earning $3,089 weekly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration
• Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic CT purposes, exercising independent judgment to adjust protocols as needed
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and power injector use per department protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast media according to physician orders and departmental policy
• Assess patients for potential risk factors before contrast administration
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and reduce anxiety
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and apply universal protocol during all procedures
• Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal diagnostic results
• Document patient history in electronic medical records as required
• Ensure proper coding, tracking, networking for archival, and accurate charge entry for all exams

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program
• ARRT Certificate in CT required
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 compliance required
