Telemetry RN Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse for a telemetry float pool position. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM on a 3x12 schedule, with every other weekend required. This is a 91-day assignment starting October 6, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Float between medical/surgical and telemetry units with one day of orientation per unit
• Care for 4 to 5 patients per shift in a 38-bed unit
• Manage patients with conditions including ETOH withdrawal, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI/GU post-operative care, and orthopedic surgery recovery
• Titrate critical drips including insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Read your own telemetry strips using GE monitors (monitor technicians are available on the unit)
• Operate respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen delivery
• Document all patient care in the Cerner charting system
• Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides available on shift

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Navy scrubs required
• BSN not required
