Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements vary
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Float pool position requiring rotation between med/surg and telemetry units
• One day of orientation per unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 to 5:1
• 38-bed unit
• Care for patients with conditions including ETOH, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI/GU surgery, and joint replacements
• Required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Required to read own telemetry strips with GE monitors (monitor techs available on unit)
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Charge nurses and nurse aides available on unit
• Document using Cerner charting system
• Navy scrubs required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry/stepdown experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
