Respiratory Therapist Job in Alma, MI

MyMichigan Health - Gratiot is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a temporary travel assignment. You will work the night shift—3x12 hour shifts—with every other weekend required and no on-call responsibilities. This 91-day assignment begins September 14, 2026.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, independently or in consultation with a physician
• Respond immediately to arrest, Rapid Response, and STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways, respiration, and cardiac compressions
• Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers
• Set up and maintain all oxygen according to protocol
• Provide CPR and life support systems during emergency situations
• Evaluate and treat respiratory care protocols

What We Need From You

• Active RRT Certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Michigan license with LARA verification showing Active status
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), NBRC, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Minimum 2+ years of registered respiratory therapist experience
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application, pertinent to Respiratory Therapy
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Residency outside a 50-mile radius of the facility required
• Previous travel work experience preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,151.36

You must reside outside the 50-mile radius of MyMichigan Health - Gratiot in Alma, Michigan to be eligible for this travel assignment.
