Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN in the Medical-Surgical unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift, running 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. You will earn $1,933 weekly.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor vital signs and coordinate care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
• Work as a team member serving a diverse patient population

Shift & Schedule Details

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week (36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly, to be confirmed at submission)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; you must be available the entire week for orientation

Patient Care & Equipment

• Patient ratios of 1:6–7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• May float to other units depending on staffing needs
• Equipment: Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
• EMR system: EPIC

Requirements

• Current RN license; must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience required
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (preferred)
• Black scrubs; open-toed shoes not acceptable
