Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a travel position with a 91-day duration, starting October 26, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3 x 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekly pay: $1,763
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Weekend requirements: 4 shifts per 28-day schedule with holiday rotation
• Float rotation with other staff as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory diseases, renal disease, and GI illnesses
• Manage telemetry monitoring, central venous catheters (CVCs), indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
• Operate equipment including walkers, IV pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs)
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Utilize communication boards to achieve a 72% patient satisfaction benchmark
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Case Management team

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Advanced Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Demonstrated teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
