Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Cardiac Telemetry unit in Wilmington, NC. This is a 91-day contract position paying $2,106 weekly.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Weekend shifts required—5 to 6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period
• Float required as needed within and near facility

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for adult patients with Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pacemaker/ICD implantations, and Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization
• Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Document using Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems

Requirements and Experience

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry, PCU, IMC, or stepdown experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS prior to start
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Navy scrubs required

Additional Information

• 24 hours of on-unit orientation provided
• Contract staff will be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
