Med Surg RN Job in Kansas City, MO

Research Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit (6W). You will work four 12-hour day shifts per week (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.), with 48 hours guaranteed weekly pay at $2,370. Your assignment begins November 30, 2026.

Unit Overview

This Med Surg transplant nephrology unit specializes in kidney transplant and renal care. You will work with a patient ratio of 1:6 and benefit from on-site support including a unit secretary during day shifts, PCTs, and a unit educator. A virtual nurse completes patient admissions, allowing you to focus on direct patient care at the bedside.

Expectations and Requirements

• 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Four 12-hour day shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m.)
• Three weekend shifts required per month
• No on-call requirements
• Agency/contract nurses float first per facility floating policy
• Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplant, renal, and dialysis experience required
• ADN required
• Current BLS certification required

Documentation and Dress Code

The unit uses Meditech for documentation. You will wear royal blue scrubs with black scrub pants permitted.
