ED Registered Nurse Job in Crescent City, CA

Sutter Health Coast Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You will work 3x12-hour shifts on days, with every other weekend requirement and self-scheduling flexibility.

Requirements:

• Valid California RN state license
• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Minimum Trauma Level II experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (AHA or ARC)

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities:

You will care for patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Your responsibilities include triage, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Patient ratio: 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends.

Support Services:

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary assistance.
