Med Surg RN Job in Midland, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at MyMichigan Health - Midland. This is a temporary travel assignment running for 91 days, starting August 24, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 nights (three 12-hour night shifts per week)
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients
• Delegate tasks to patient care technicians and ensure patient comfort
• Assess patient needs regularly and provide skilled nursing services per the physician's plan of care
• Administer medications, perform treatments, respond to call lights, and assist with patient transfers
• Process physician and provider orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and collaborate with team members to update or revise plans
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience
• Travel work experience highly preferred
• Epic experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Current skills checklist within one year pertinent to Med Surg
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Compensation

You will earn $2,272 per week.
