Telemetry RN Job in Elmira, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 34-bed Stroke Telemetry Unit at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where you will care for patients with acute stroke and complex telemetry needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding in real time to any changes
• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, patient education, and individualized care plans
• Administer medications using BCMA standards with strict attention to safety and accuracy
• Coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team of providers, therapy specialists, and case management
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover setting
• Maintain focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety
• Work within primary and team nursing care models

Requirements: You must hold current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. You must demonstrate the ability to read basic rhythm strips before arriving at the facility.

Assignment Details: This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning November 15, 2026. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,496.60 weekly.
