Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit in Wilmington, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM).

Position Overview

You will care for patients on a medical-surgical telemetry floor with a typical patient ratio of 1:5–6. Every other weekend is required, and you may be called to float as needed. Contract staff are assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• EKG testing must be completed prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome; charge experience is preferred

Key Skills

You will need proficiency in blood product administration, heparin protocols, EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA pumps, peripheral line care and management, insulin drip titration, wound care and wound vac, and IV heparin drips.

Unit Details

The unit uses Pyxis for medication management, Epic for electronic health records, and SBAR communication standards. Navy scrubs are required.

Onboarding

You will receive 24 hours of orientation, with hospital orientation during week 1 including daily classes. Contract lengths of 36 or 48 hours are accepted, and longer assignments of 13 to 26 weeks are also available.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,027. Start date is November 2, 2026.
