ED Emergency Room RN Job in Midland, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MyMichigan Health - Midland. This is a temporary position offering a 91-day contract starting September 21, 2026.

Schedule & Pay: You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with an every-other-weekend requirement. There are no on-call responsibilities. Your weekly pay is $2,203.20.

Your Responsibilities:

• Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients upon arrival
• Act independently to initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations
• Provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients
• Perform multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills and assist physicians with their procedures
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients, their families, and visitors
• Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families
• Answer ambulance radios and independently provide appropriate orders for pre-hospital care
• Work with multiple types of sophisticated equipment in a frequently stressful environment
• Perform nursing assessments, intervene appropriately and promptly, and participate in care planning
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and make suggestions to improve patient care
• Actively participate in updating and revising treatment plans in collaboration with other team members

Requirements: You must hold an active Michigan nursing license with LARA and/or Nursys verification. You need at least 2 years of ER experience, with travel experience preferred. Required certifications include BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA). A current skills checklist pertinent to ER specialty (within one year) is required. Epic experience is preferred. You must also provide two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
