About this role

You'll work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus in San Francisco, supporting cardiologists and radiologists in the Interventional Cath Lab. This is a 91-day travel assignment on a 4x10 day shift schedule, with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Rotating nights and weekend call are required, with weekends covered on an as-needed basis when on call.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support during cardiac and interventional procedures
  • Set up equipment, perform accurate monitoring, and manage fluoroscopy imaging
  • Assist with or perform cardiac catheterizations, stent placement, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, ECMO, TAVR, Watchman procedures, and ventricular assist device insertion
  • Place EKG leads, prep access sites, and maintain sterile field as room scrub or circulator
  • Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
  • Work with patients across all age groups—infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Mentor and train students as needed

You'll integrate technical competence, education, and patient interaction skills to execute safe, precise treatment under cardiologist supervision. This role demands strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced interventional environment.

Requirements: You must hold a minimum of 2 years of Interventional Cath Lab experience; structural heart experience is preferred. Current certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS, and one of the following are required: RCES, CRT, RCIS, or ARRT. Travel experience is also required.

Compensation: Weekly pay is $3,481.92. Assignment begins August 10, 2026.
