Telemetry RN Job in Reidsville, NC

Cone Health - Annie Penn Hospital is seeking an RN for a medical-surgical telemetry position. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. This is a 91-day contract beginning November 30, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,073.60.

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Administer IV medication drips including Heparin and TNA
• Perform telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Start and maintain IV lines; implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed
• Float between all Cone Health facilities as required

Patient Population

You will care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illness, post-operative general surgery, post-operative gynecologic surgery, post-operative orthopedic procedures (total knee and hip replacements), orthopedic conditions, acute and chronic pain, active GI bleeding, CHF and pulmonary edema, diabetes with hyper- and hypoglycemic conditions, renal failure, drug overdose, alcohol withdrawal (CIWA score below 7), suicidal ideation, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new-onset seizures, and stable COVID patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• MS Telemetry and Telemetry experience required

Support Services

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams to assist with patient care coordination.
