ED RN Job in San Jose, CA

Join Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This 12-week travel assignment runs from September 29, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,549.16 for a 3x12 day schedule working 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM shifts.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 36-bed Emergency Department serving acute care patients. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team. You will work with a patient ratio of 4:1 under standard conditions, with critical care patients assigned at a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients presenting with acute medical and trauma conditions
• Perform procedures related to Stroke and STEMI center protocols
• Operate Phillips monitoring equipment
• Document patient information in the Meditech EMR system
• Work every other weekend
• Provide charge nurse support as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3–5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital
• Current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel or interim work experience in California preferred
