Occupational Therapist Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will deliver occupational therapy services in an acute care and trauma setting at OU Health in Oklahoma City. This is an 8-hour shift position with a duration of 89 days, beginning September 21, 2026. You will earn $1,749 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform professional occupational therapy activities including planning, evaluating, establishing, and implementing individual and group treatment activities under physician direction
• Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures
• Evaluate patients in areas including independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills
• Interpret evaluation data and develop treatment plans with short and long-term goals, frequency, and duration of treatment
• Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices to assist patients
• Provide guidance on joint protection and body mechanics
• Inform patients and families of goals and progress throughout treatment
• Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans
• May supervise students as needed

Requirements: You must have acute care and trauma experience. A current Oklahoma license is preferred. Travel experience is preferred but not required. You will hold a Therapy degree and be credentialed as an Occupational Therapist.
