Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Work with patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, primarily adult patients with pediatric intubated patients as needed
• Scrub color: Slate Gray
• Every other weekend required; 5 weekend days out of a six-week schedule
• Float required within facility and to sister campus as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• 48 orientation hours required
• Manage non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, and aerosol therapy
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests and arterial lines
• Perform arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases
• Manage oxygen therapy and draw from lines
• Provide patient education
• Trauma experience required
• Pulmonary function testing (spirometry testing) preferred
• Level 2 trauma center and Level 3 NICU experience involved
• Preferred experience with unit systems: Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, Viasys Avea; Epic charting system preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, RRT, GA state license
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Mechanical Ventilation (Pressure/Volume), Tracheostomy care/management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Pulmonary Hygiene, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, and various aerosol/medication therapies
