ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff
• Uphold all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies including legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Excellent time management skills required
• Basic computer skills required including Microsoft Excel and Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred
• Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications upon hire: BLS, RN licensure (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• Required within 180 days: PALS, ACLS
• Required within 18 months: TNCC or ATCN
