Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM working 3x12 or 4x12 schedules
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage patients with diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Unit serves as the inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients and also receives higher acuity med-surg patients
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Use Omnicell medication system
• Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg Tele experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active Tennessee RN license required
