Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available
• Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours
• Weekend shifts may be required based on scheduling needs
• No on-call requirements
• Care for post-surgical patients with a focus on orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
• Practice independently and provide routine and complex care for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education and resources
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• EMR used: Epic (experience is a bonus)
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
• Required certifications: BLS via AHA
• RN license in state of employment or compact required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Temp to perm is a possibility
