RN - OR

Job Details:

• Preferred shift hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with flexibility for 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Schedule options available include 4x10s or 3x12s
• Full-time position
• Level III Trauma Center with 2 years of experience required
• Care for a wide variety of patients including general OR, neuro, spine, ortho, robotic, and vascular cases
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only)
• Active RN license in the state of TX or compact license required
