ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
• Float as needed, including rotation to Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU)
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting system experience heavily preferred
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Maximum pre-approved time off of 7 days per contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• AHA or ARC certifications only accepted
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and ventilated patients
• Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and paralytics
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, and IV placement
• Manage patients with trauma, behavioral health conditions, stroke, STEMI, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
