ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required with coverage based on unit needs, at minimum every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required to TICU, Med/Tele, and Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36-bed unit with a daily census of 30 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 3 years of ICU experience required; 4 years preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CCRN
• California RN License required
• Skills required include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro and surgical intensive care unit experience, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
