PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Experience with medical cardiology patients, post cardiac cath care, neuro/stroke, and respiratory care including high flow O2 up to BiPAP required
• Must have experience with heparin infusions, diltiazem, and amiodarone
• Experience with dobutamine, dopamine, and milrinone is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/Stepdown experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• California RN licensure required
• Skills required include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, cardiac drip management, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, non-invasive airway management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), pre/post cardiac cath care, sheath removal, TAVR, pacemaker management, heparin protocols, vasoactive drip management, CVA/post TPA care, and chest tube management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
