Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required and rotating holiday schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on nights
• May float to other like units and facilities based on census
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Clinical Decision Unit experience required
• Must be able to read telemetry
• Experience must be short-term acute care hospital experience
• At least 1 traveler contract completed preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Current EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Wisconsin or Compact nursing license required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Patient types include DM, CHF, DT, falls with minimal injury, stroke rule-out, chest pain, pneumonia, and general weakness
• Skillset required: telemetry interpretation, IV placement, CBI, wound care, heparin drip, Lasix drip, NG tube placement, TR bands, and post-cath and stroke assessments
• Cardiology background preferred; caths with no interventions
• Strong documentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to manage change required
