Med Surg RN Job in Waukesha, WI

ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Med Surg assignment, with openness to extend to 15 weeks. This is a night shift position offering hands-on acute care experience in a 53-bed unit.

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required. Holiday rotation required. Guaranteed 36 hours per week, except during unit closures.
• Pay: $2,656 weekly.
• Start Date: September 22, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with typical ratios of 1:7–8 patients.
• Manage insulin and cardiac drips.
• Read and interpret telemetry monitoring.
• Document in EPIC charting system.
• May float to sister facilities and like units as needed.
• No on-call or call back requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of Med Surg experience in short-term acute care hospitals.
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips.
• Ability to read telemetry.
• EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months.
• Current BLS certification.
• Wisconsin or Compact nursing license.
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least 1 completed traveler contract preferred.

• Strong documentation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
• Any scrub color acceptable.
