Med Surg RN Job in Waukesha, WI

ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position on the 4NW Ortho Neuro unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week, beginning September 8, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:6 patient ratio (1:7 after 11:00 PM)
• Perform indwelling drain removal and PICC line care including dressing changes
• Document care in Epic charting system
• May float to other like units and facilities based on census needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Short-term acute care hospital experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months
• Current Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Schedule Details:

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend requirement

You will work in a fast-paced acute care environment and should be a resilient professional who manages change well. Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Weekly pay is $2,656.
