Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Weekend schedule: Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday
• On-call required: variable, typically one weekday per week and one weekend every 5–6 weeks
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to Main OR as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Lobe resection, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services and Interpretation Services
• No self-scheduling; block schedules not honored
• Travel pairs not accepted on this unit
• Holiday work expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests accepted post-offer or onsite
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
