Job Details:

• Work shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with flexibility for evening hours when needed
• Shift options include 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts with most contract staff working 10-hour shifts (6:45 AM to 5:15 PM)
• Must be flexible to work evening shifts when needed
• 13 or 17 week contract available
• Must be strong with Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic, General CV, and CV Hybrid cases
• Facility operates 19 suites handling 55-60 cases per day and approximately 1,000 cases per month
• Full service facility performing all procedures except major pediatrics and transplants; functions as a Level 2 trauma center with some ortho/neuro trauma and robotics
• Scrubbing required for OR techs (must be CST); scrubbing for RNs not required but preferred
• On-call responsibilities required with a 30-minute call response time
• General on-call schedule averages every 7th weekend with no weekday call for general staff
• Two specialty call teams cover nightly (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic); travelers may be assigned specialty call only if cases fall within their competency
• Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff; must be flexible
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• One week of floor-specific orientation provided
• No floating required
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Scrubs provided
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Georgia or compact RN license required
• Must reside within a strict 100-mile radius of the facility based on driver's license address; driver's license must be included in submission to be considered
• Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; proficiency required for any skill rated at a 3 or above
