CVOR RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 98-day travel assignment beginning May 26, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,822.40.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a specialized operating room setting, managing adult and geriatric patients. The position requires a 1:1 patient ratio and involves a variety of cardiothoracic and vascular surgical cases. You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule with every other weekend rotation, plus overnight call approximately twice weekly and regular day call roughly once monthly.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Endovascular and vascular service line experience mandatory
• EVAR experience required
• Preference for CSI and Penumbra equipment familiarity

Key Responsibilities

You will assist in procedures including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, carotid procedures, CABG, endovascular aneurysm repair, IABP management, MAZE procedures, mitral valve replacement, TEVAR, TAVR, and ventricular assist device cases.

Facility Information

The facility uses Epic charting and Pyxis medication management. OR scrubs are provided. You will receive 40 hours of orientation. Floating to the main OR may occur on rare occasions.

Assignment Terms

Maximum 7 days of requested time off are permitted. RTO blackout dates include Spring Break (April 4–12). Holiday work requirements apply based on major holidays during your assignment. Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to begin on schedule.
