About this role

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This is a 182-day travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026, working three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,540.16 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a busy cardiac and vascular surgical environment, managing a 1:1 patient ratio during day shifts. Your responsibilities include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures, and supporting immediate postoperative recovery. You will care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, IABP, and VAD placements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Georgia or Compact nursing license (required at submission)
  • 2 or more years of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Epic charting system experience
  • Willingness to float within scope of practice to Main OR as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Community hospital experience
  • Trauma Level I or II facility background

Scheduling and On-Call Expectations

Your schedule includes three 12-hour day shifts weekly with a weekend rotation pattern to be discussed at interview. Call coverage is required—typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5–6 weeks. You must work major holidays if they fall during your assignment period.

Onboarding

  • Clinical screening required to determine fit
  • Complete core items and required labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • All compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start date
  • Full compliance required to begin on schedule
