Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend schedule with 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule
• First to float with potential floating to telemetry unit (1:4 ratio) or between med-surg floors
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on the Med Surg Orthopedic unit
• 17-bed unit focused on orthopedic patients including hips, knees, shoulders, and spine cases - no drips
• 1 shift of orientation provided upon starting on the unit
• 1 nurse aide available for 8 hours during day shift
• Clinical supervisor serves as charge nurse with no patient assignment and provides break relief
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and will be required to pass a dysrhythmia exam
• Portable telemetry box available if needed with monitor tech support
• Hospitalist available in-house 24/7, respiratory therapy 24/7, and pharmacy 24/7
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Scrub color: Navy
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Med Surg Orthopedic specialty required
• Previous travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS
• BSN not required
• Must be a team player
