PCU RN Job in Thornton, CO

You will work as an RN on a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge in Thornton, Colorado. This is a travel position with a 91-day assignment beginning October 12, 2026, offering 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at $1,962 weekly.

About the Role

You will care for a diverse patient population on the second floor, managing a 5:1 patient ratio. The day shift team includes a charge nurse, 4–5 RNs, and 2–3 PCTs. Your responsibilities include post-operative recovery care for surgical and cath lab patients, orthopedic post-op care (spine and joint procedures), and management of patients with elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure conditions.

You will administer set-rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin), utilize telemonitoring and post-op monitoring equipment, and document in the Meditech/CPN EMR system.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
