PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel position offering a competitive weekly rate of $1,838 for an 82-week assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a pulmonary thoracic intermediate/step-down setting, managing complex medical patients including those recovering from high-risk respiratory care, cardiac procedures, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery. Your scope includes caring for patients on room air through BIPAP or Optiflow oxygen support systems.

Schedule and Requirements

• Work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Variable schedule with mandatory holiday coverage: 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required
• Non-local candidates only; you must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Credentials and Certifications

• Active RN license in Georgia
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)
