PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Join Grady Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 12-hour day shift position offering you the opportunity to work in a medical step-down setting where you'll make a direct impact on patient recovery and stability.

Role Overview

You will care for patients transitioning from intensive care to lower acuity settings. Your unit has 16–20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4, allowing you to provide focused, individualized care. You'll manage patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention.

Patient Populations

In this role, you'll care for patients with conditions including:

• Sepsis
• Heart failure
• Hypertensive emergency
• Respiratory failure
• COPD
• Chronic kidney disease
• Type 2 diabetes
• Substance abuse
• Status epilepticus
• Encephalopathy

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license and have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.

Assignment Details

This is an 89-day assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing predictable scheduling and work-life balance. Your weekly pay is $2,613.98.
