PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a 12-hour day shift role on a 96-day contract, starting October 5, 2026.

About the Role

You'll provide direct patient care in a medical step-down unit with 6–20 beds. Your patient ratio will be 1:4, allowing you to deliver focused attention to each person in your care. You'll manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

You may be asked to float to other IMCU units as needed, with units 5J and 12A being the most common float assignments.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Compensation and Schedule

You'll earn $2,470 per week working 12-hour day shifts. This contract runs for 96 days, giving you a defined endpoint and the flexibility to plan your next move.
