PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Part of float pool
• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods including bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities
• Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education
• Serve as preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, staff, or students
• Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources
• Required certifications: RN license (single state or multi-state compact), BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (required within 180 days of hire)
• Associates, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills required
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and basic computer skills required
