PCU RN Job in Augusta, GA

You'll work as an RN in the Progressive Care Unit at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring 36 hours per week. Your weekly pay is $2,382.72, with a start date of September 28, 2026.

Unit Overview

The PCU has 29 beds and operates with unit coordinators and patient care technicians to support your workflow. Your typical patient ratio is 1:4, though the unit is currently running 1:5 depending on census. You'll float to other areas as needed within your scope of competency.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs every 4 hours, with more frequent checks based on patient acuity
• Perform blood glucose checks as ordered
• Manage cardiac drips and insulin drips
• Complete required documentation and assessments each shift
• Provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care

Equipment and Documentation

You'll use Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanners, and vein finders. Documentation occurs in Meditech.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with cardiac and insulin drips
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
