PCU RN Job in Augusta, GA

Wellstar MCG Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 9, 2026, offering 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at $2,268 per week.

About the Role

You will deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess and care for patients using evidence-based practice tailored to population-specific needs
• Partner with patients and families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient education
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care within our professional delivery model
• Participate in interdisciplinary communication, rounds, and case reviews
• Serve as preceptor or mentor to nursing staff and students
• Support data collection and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Manage human and material resources efficiently
• Complete all competency assessments and mandatory education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• Associate's or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification required within 180 days of hire
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure and respect
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with clinical technology
