ICU Registered Nurse Job in Florence, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the ICU at MUSC Health - Florence. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, earning $1,892.16 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced intensive care setting, managing a patient ratio of 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends. Your responsibilities include monitoring critically ill adults and geriatric patients, administering medications, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and responding to acute changes in patient status. Float assignments within the facility may be requested, though agency staff float first.

Schedule & Expectations

• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed

Requirements

• Current South Carolina RN license or active Compact license (must be in hand before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Step-Down experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with prior ICU and/or Step-Down experience

Facility Details

MUSC Health - Florence uses Epic for charting; prior experience preferred. You'll wear royal blue scrubs and have access to free parking. The facility is equipped with 24 orientation hours to familiarize you with protocols and systems. Please note that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
