Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Med Surg assignment. You will work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 3x12 schedule with guaranteed 48 hours per week and overtime available after 48 hours worked.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios are 1:4-5 on day shifts and 1:6-7 on night shifts
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• May be assigned 4 or 8 hour shift increments during low census periods (up to 36 unbillable hours eligible)
• Chart in EPIC

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
