PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Burn experience preferred but not required
• ICU or PCU background required
• Work in a mixed acuity level department serving ICU, PCU, Telemetry, and Medical/Surgical level patients
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity with adult patients only
• 3 weekend shifts required in a 4-week scheduling period
• No on-call requirements
• Float to like units including ICU, PCU, and CCU as needed; agency staff are first to float when required
• Perform procedures including debridement, dressing changes, line insertion, chest tube insertions and maintenance, and post-operative procedural care
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm monitoring required
• Hemodynamic monitoring and drip titration proficiency required
• NIH certification required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH; ABLS preferred but not required
• Document using Meditech electronic documentation system
• Operate equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Hill-Rom beds and call light system, GE cardiac monitoring equipment, AirStrip for cardiac rhythms, and Imobile phones for communication
• Dress code: Navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black scrub pants and scrub jacket required; no t-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts allowed
• Uphold patient experience standards including courtesy, respect, and bedside shift report requirements
