PCU RN Job in Lee's Summit, MO

Join Lee's Summit Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel nursing position offering you the opportunity to work nights in a structured, supportive environment.

Position Details

• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU North, 2nd floor, Main Hospital)
• Shift: 4x12 nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: December 14, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,978.40

Schedule and Staffing

• 48 hours guaranteed per week (preferred)
• 2–3 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift team: 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator, 4 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians
• Unit capacity: 18 beds with 60 total staff members
• Patient ratio: 4:1

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and post-catheterization lab monitoring
• Titrate drips and manage medication delivery
• Operate Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, Alaris IV pumps, EKG machines, and BiPAP equipment
• Work within the Meditech electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
