Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract position
• 8-hour PM/NOC variable shifts - must be flexible (PM shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Night shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed 40-48 hours per week (minimum of 40, up to 48; overtime after 48 hours)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Float team position - will float as needed within skillset to observation unit, cardiac unit, medical unit, surgical unit, ortho/neuro unit, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care unit
• Facility will try to keep traveler in 1-2 like units but may float to another unit as needed
• Patient ratios: Day shift 1:4, PM shift 1:4-1:5, NOC shift 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Scrub colors: No bright colors or character prints
• 1-2+ years of general Med/Surg experience required
• Must have experience with venipuncture and Cardizem
• Experience with ports, Foley/straight cath, and stable drips required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred within the past 2 years
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Active RN or Compact License, and NIHSS
• NIHSS certification preferred at time of submission; completion required prior to end of orientation
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
