ED Registered Nurse Job in Saint Louis, MO

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work 3x12 night shifts (primary hours 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with possible alternate shift 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM) on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend coverage.

About the Role:

• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts, including weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric populations, with approximately 47% of patients over age 65
• High admission rate: approximately 35% of patients admitted to inpatient units
• ESI acuity mix includes 23% Level 1 and 2, 6% Level 4, and rarely Level 5 patients
• Designated Primary Stroke Center and Level 1 STEMI facility
• Care for Level 3 trauma patients (trauma certification not required on site)

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Triage, phlebotomy, IV access, and maintenance
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration and central line care
• Chest tube management and care of ventilated patients
• IV vasopressor administration
• Special procedures: moderate sedation, intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and defibrillation/pacing

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience mandatory; this unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Triage and ventilator experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, STEMI
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, ENPC, SANE
• Conscious sedation competency required
• Navy blue or grey scrubs required

Assignment Details:

91-day contract. Weekly pay: $2,101. Start date: November 16, 2026.
