ED RN Job in Austin, TX

You'll work a 13-week contract as a registered nurse in a free-standing emergency department at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is a night-shift role, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating weekend schedule with no call requirements.

The unit operates with 11 beds and a staffing model of one charge nurse and one RN per shift. You'll perform core emergency nursing duties including IV starts, 12-lead EKG administration, and patient assessments. The department is equipped with ventilators and point-of-care lab machines, and uses Meditech as the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Free-standing emergency department (FSED) experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV placement and EKG interpretation
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start date: September 8, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three nights per week
• Weekly pay: $1,661
• Navy blue scrubs required
