Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule with every other weekend required
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the contractor is assigned
• No on-call required
• Float to other units (surgical, telemetry) and to Progress West as needed
• Block scheduling not available
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Treating adult patient populations with general medical and surgical diagnoses
• Preferred skills include chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience
• Skills required: feeding tube care and management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care and management
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy
• Orientation: 24 hours; some initial orientation will occur on weekdays as classes are not typically available on weekends

• Required certification: BLS
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
