OR Nurse Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Operating Room Nurse for a full-time position. You will work day shifts from 6:30 AM or 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM on a 4x9 schedule.

Role Overview

As an OR circulator, you will manage patient care throughout surgical episodes, assess and coordinate individualized plans of care, and support adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. You will float between sister hospital sites and circulate across multiple surgical service lines, requiring familiarity with service-line-specific equipment and techniques.

Experience & Certifications Required

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• OR circulator experience
• NYS RN licensure
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS (all through AHA/RQI), and STROKE certifications

Surgical Service Lines

You will circulate across Orthopedics (total joints, ortho trauma, sports medicine), General Surgery (laparoscopic and open), Urology (including litho laser), ENT (including pediatric patients), GI (colonoscopies, EGDs, dilatations), Spine (ACDF, lumbar fusions, discectomies, kyphoplasties, posterior cervical fusions), Ophthalmology (cataracts with microscope and phaco machine), and Podiatry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in small community hospital settings
• GI surgical experience
• Call experience; you may serve as the sole OR RN during on-call shifts
• Willingness to cross-train in Ophthalmology

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized care plans, promote patient and family education to support self-care beyond hospitalization, and coordinate comprehensive care delivery across surgical episodes.

Assignment Details

94-day assignment starting November 18, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,272.
