ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract duration
• Floating between units is required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Blocked scheduling is not approved
• 48-hour guarantees are not approved
• Maximum of 1 RTO per 6-week schedule
• RTO blackout dates apply for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday dependent on department needs
• Scrub color: Full uniform required
• EMR system: MedHost (EDIS)
• Call out requirement: Minimum 2 hours prior to shift start
• 2+ years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC
• NRP certification preferred
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
• Provide shift accountability for emergency room patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe delivery of patient care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Document patient care with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
